Engineer to build their career and help save lives on the nation's road
infrastructure. You will build and support software products used by the
Department of Transportation and the public at large to help ensure the safety of
drivers and passengers on public roadways.

Candidates must be clearable for a Public Trust Position –
- Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or is authorized to work in US
- Must have lived in the US for the last 3 years consecutively

Responsibilities:
  • Leverage modern data solutions and cloud-based services as a part of a cross-functional engineering and development team. Contribute to the end-to-end process of architecting, designing, developing, and optimizing of a robust and scalable data pipeline to support various business needs.
  • Provide expert-level guidance and technical leadership to the data engineering and software development teams. Be a subject matter expert in your domain.
  • Explore, investigate, and recommend innovative tools, technologies, and platforms to enhance data infrastructure.
  • Analyze the scope of work and provide estimated development timelines.
  • Accept constructive feedback from colleagues and grow your skillset on the job.
  • Document design decisions and technical details.
  • Take on additional responsibilities over time and advance your career.
Required Qualifications:
  • BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10 years of experience designing and developing solutions for large-scale data systems, services, and platforms.
  • 5 years of experience with SQL, database design/structures, ETL/ELT design patterns, and data mart structures
  • 3 years of experience implementing modern data solutions using Microsoft Azure
  • 5+ years of experience working on Azure Platform
  • 2 years of experience with Azure Synapse Analytics,
  • 2 Years of experience with Azure Data Lake Gen2
  • 2 Years of experience with Spark SQL
  • 2+ years of experience with Cosmos DB,
  • 2+ years of experience with Delta Lake House
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure Blob Storage
  • 5+ years of experience with unstructured and semi-structured data
  • Experience with data lake and data lakehouse concepts and design patterns
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Azure ML or Azure Open AI
  • Experience in data management and data governance
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to communicate with customers and management.
  • Ability to design and document best practices and operations standard operating procedures.

Job Type:
  • Full-time with probationary period

Probationary Period:
  • The employee will undergo a probationary period of 1 year, during which their performance will be closely monitored and evaluated. Regular feedback and performance reviews will be conducted during this period to assess the employee's ability to meet the job requirements and expectations.
  • At the end of the probationary period, a decision will be made regarding the employee's continued employment with the company.

Salary:
$150 - 180k annually

Schedule:
  • 8 hours a day (40 hours per week) with a flexible start time. Core hours are between 10 am and 4 pm EST
